EAST CLEVELAND -- Police are investigating a shooting at a funeral for a murder victim in East Cleveland.

According to Mayor Gary Norton, who was attending ther service, the shot was fired outside Omega Baptist Church and never penetrated the church walls.

No one was hurt.

Earlier reports had indicated the shot was fired inside the service but that is now being ruled out.

Police say the service was being held for Cedric Morgan, 24. 

Morgan was a local rap artist who performed under the name Lil Ced. He was shot and killed in front of his East Cleveland home last week on East 142 Street.

A near-by school that was put on lockdown has been given the all-clear. 

The church is located at 1355 Hayden Avenue near Beaumont.

Police are still searching for the person who fired the shot.
